I notice that an html file had plumped up to half a meg. So I saved it as “asci dos delimited text” and then converted it to Word Perfect and then to html. Seems that even made it bigger. My conclusion: well I already know that Wordperfect has hidden codes. I remember that day in 1993 when the Wordperfect phone technician told me how to find hidden keys. I was amazed!

My recent experimentation cause me to postulate that html has some hidden stuff too - or in the alternative some features that cost more than others in terms of bytes.

I am thinking about just putting the stuff into a yahoo group message box. That seems to cut off all the junk.

I would be grateful for any tips.
